Russia-Ukraine War Today: Last Hour of the War One Year After Putin’s Invasion

Ukraine calls on the UN to prevent Russia from assuming the presidency of the Security Council in April

Ukraine’s representative to the United Nations, Sergei Kislitsia, has called on UN members to try to prevent Russia from assuming the Presidency of the Security Council on April 1.

“The night of the Russian invasion (UN Secretary General) Antonio Guterres described it as ‘the saddest day of his mandate’. It will be the saddest day in the history of the UN until April 1, 2023, when, if justice does not prevail, Russia will begin to preside over the Security Council,” Kislitsia said.

In a publication on his official profile on the social network Twitter, Kislitsia has demanded that Russia “stop violating Justice and annul the Charter of the United Nations.” “Accountability now!” stressed the Ukrainian representative.
