Russia-Ukraine War Today: Last Hour of the War More Than a Year After Putin’s Invasion

Venezuela is one of Russia’s most faithful partners, says Lavrov

The Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergei Lavrov, assured, from Caracas, that Venezuela is, “without a doubt”, one of the “most faithful partners of Russia” and bilateral relations, despite the “pressure”, will continue getting stronger. The Russian minister pointed out, after a meeting with his Venezuelan counterpart, Yván Gil, that both countries adhere to the “basic principles of the UN charter, including non-interference in internal affairs.” Lavrov arrived in Caracas on Tuesday, after a visit to Brazil, to meet with government officials and with President Nicolás Maduro, who announced on Monday that, among other topics, they will talk about bilateral cooperation and the presence of Russia in Latin America and the Caribbean.
