Since 2014, Russia has spent at least 300 million euros to secretly influence politics in at least 24 countries. The United States Department of State reports this on the basis of an American intelligence report. It was probably even more funds, but that stayed under the radar. And Russia would plan to transfer hundreds of millions more to exert political influence and direct elections worldwide.
