Russia intercepts five drones over Crimea | Abroad

The Defense Ministry in Moscow said a total of six drones had been launched by the “Kiev regime to carry out terrorist attacks.” One of the drones was destroyed over the Black Sea and the remaining five were intercepted over Crimea. Kiev has not yet responded to the alleged drone attack.

The Crimean peninsula was annexed by Russia in 2014. Since the start of Russia’s war of aggression in Ukraine in February 2022, the Russian Black Sea Fleet has been stationed there.
