‘Rude’ Desiree propels B&B Full of Love towards million border

The RTL 4-hit B&B Vol Liefde is doing very well. The ‘rude’ Desiree’s visit to the Italian market drove the daily dating series towards the million mark yesterday.

Reality programs such as B&B Vol Liefde always rely on candidates whose neck hairs stand on end. Also this season there is another type that the twittering viewer is completely loose about: Desiree, who tries to win the heart of candidate Hans in Italy.

disrespectful

Yesterday Desiree stormed into a picturesque Italian market like a huge polder colossus, where she turned the whole thing upside down. “Yes, this is not Holland. I’ve already figured that out. It’s very difficult,” she grumbled when she couldn’t get white asparagus. Then in the butcher: “I need vaca. VACANCY. Cow! BOOEEH!”

Fellow candidate Hayriye was very annoyed: “Yes, can I be very honest about how she treats the people on the market? I actually find it disrespectful. Constantly sitting on that fruit while they have already indicated several times that they do not want that and want to grab it for them themselves. How she talks to them and she should answer right away.”

Walk away

Hayriye preferred to run away from Desiree. “Yeah, you know, at one point I also thought: this is really not possible. I really just wanted to walk out with the bags. I thought: you do your thing, I really just feel like I’m standing there. I belong at that time and really I just didn’t want to belong.”

Desiree thinks she just has a point: “They’re hard to understand. They can barely speak English. In addition, once again the products that are not there. Yes, then you can do little.”

Towards million

All in all, quite a spectacle and B&B Vol Liefde is shooting up. The fourth episode of this summer season reached a whopping 864 thousand viewers (19 percent market share) yesterday, an exceptionally good score in the summer. Only one program did better at prime time: De Slimste Mens with 1.7 million viewers (37 percent) on NPO 2.

The other most watched prime-time titles were NPO 1’s De Rijdende Rechter with 656 thousand viewers, NPO 2’s Nieuwsuur with 632 thousand viewers and NPO 1’s At least Sustainable Up to 623 thousand viewers.

SBS 6 got stuck at 419 thousand viewers (10 percent) for Mr. Frank Visser Makes Pronunciation.

Viewing figures

Other programs that did not make the top 15 include Renze (580 thousand), Hart van Nederland (542 thousand), Shownieuws (541 thousand) and Shownieuws Zomeredition (175 thousand).
