Rolling Stones: Top 10 in the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s, 2010s and 2020s

Record: The Rolling Stones managed to get their albums into the top 10 of the US charts 38 times.

The Rolling Stones are the first band to have a top 10 album in the United States in every decade since the 1960s.

Her latest work HACKNEY DIAMONDS also made it into this region, climbing to number three on the US Billboard 200 charts. The band sets a new record and has the most top 10 albums of all time with a total of 38 albums. Nine of the records reached number one, including STICKY FINGERS, EXILE ON MAIN ST. and TATTOO YOU.

With 34 top 10 albums, Barbra Streisand is hot on their heels. If she positions another LP there before the end of the 2020s, the Rolling Stones would then have to share their title with the singer. The Beatles and Frank Sinatra are in third place with 32 albums.

First England, then the USA

The Rolling Stones have already had the most number one albums in their home country in recent decades. With their 2020 reissue of GOATS HEAD SOUP, which was originally released in 1973, the band not only positioned themselves at the top of the British charts, but also managed to create a number one record in six different decades. Her latest LP HACKNEY DIAMONDS, released on October 20th, also reached number one on the UK album charts. A position that Rolling Stone climbed a total of 14 times in England.

HACKNEY DIAMONDS followed as the 24th studio album after an 18-year break without a new original recording. In an interview with the British “Guardian”, Mick Jagger commented on the long interval and stated that he would regret the long break. The group simply got used to big tours.
