ROma, 26 sets. (askanews) – The film based on Michela Murgia’s book “Three bowls”, directed by the Spanish director Isabel Coixet, with Alba Rohrwacher and Elio Germano, arrives on 9 October in theaters. The two actors interpret a couple who separate: she crosses the pain of abandonment, which seems insurmountable, but one day she discovers she has an incurable evil and from there he understands what love for life and love for herself is.
“Marta is a character who does not love himself at all, at the beginning of the film, but does not realize it. – explained Rohrwacher – when he will then face another trauma, that is, the comparison with an illness, serious, will be able to an unexpected force, of an unexpected light and will perhaps begin for the first time in his life to take care of himself”.
The film touches, with balance, many themes and shows how life can change suddenly and can provide us, at the same time, keys to read the completely unexpected reality. Just while we are distracted by something else, because, as Germano says, we live in the continuous exorcization of death: “We have decided that progress should be removal of death and pain, seen as evil. And therefore we make lives based on fiction, on various fictions, we live in worlds that are not real. And we confront the things that we should get used to giving meaning, that we should get used to it, unprepared.
