Author, musician, performer and ROLLING STONE columnist Rocko Schamoni is back with a new song. “Das bin nicht ich” is part of the album “All Ein” which will be released on August 26th. His tour of Germany begins on the same day.
“Being uncomfortably strange when you look in the mirror is a phenomenon that young people are likely to be largely unaware of,” says the press release for Schamoni’s new song. It is about the “own wrestling and quarreling with the fatal incongruity between self-image and image”. So getting older doesn’t get any easier.
Rocko Schamoni likes to play with different genres. Sometimes he moves in post-punk, but also likes to combine the genre with jazz and rock music. From 1981 and 1982 Rocko Schamoni was a member of the punk band Warheah, later he devoted himself to pop music. From the end of August he will play 13 concerts in Germany.
