Robbie Williams had an advertising poster put up in Noel Gallagher’s former street – with a direct swipe at him. Now both will meet at the BRIT Awards.

The dispute between the Gallagher brothers and Robbie Williams is entering the next round.

As part of BRIT Week, Robbie Williams will play a fundraising show in Manchester on February 27th, 2026. To promote this, he placed a very special advertising poster – on the street where his nemesis Noel Gallagher used to live. He posted a video to Instagram on the morning of February 27th. It’s just cheeky that this advertising poster also made a big mockery of Noel. “…sing-along choruses to make Noel Gallagher question whether he ever needs to bother writing another song.” is emblazoned in large letters on the advertisement.

Long-standing feud

This swipe doesn’t come out of nowhere. Robbie Williams and the Gallagher brothers have been at loggerheads for a long time and have often aired it out in public. They were still friends at the beginning. Williams said he and the two Oasis brothers attended Glastonbury together in the ’90s after Williams split from Take That.

However, the friendship fell apart after Noel Gallagher publicly referred to Williams as “the fat dancer from Take That”. The situation then escalated: Williams challenged Liam Gallagher to a televised fight at the 2000 BRIT Awards. As a result, there were repeated public insults, and Williams described the brothers as bullies in an interview.

Williams’ comment on the reunion

When Oasis got back together in 2024 after 16 years, Williams didn’t miss a chance to taunt Noel again. “Liam Gallagher scrolling through his phone on the toilet would be more charismatic and fascinating than 99.9 percent of the world’s population […]. All he has to do is stand there and sing and the audience is guaranteed to get their money’s worth. Noel will be there too.”

See you at the BRITS

The feud between the Oasis brothers and Robbie Williams had actually calmed down. But apparently Williams wanted to go one better. He definitely hit a nerve with his advertising campaign. No reaction from Noel Gallagher yet.

The two will definitely meet on Saturday at the BRITS. Robbie Williams will close the event singing “No More Tears” as a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne. Other musicians will also be there: Harry Styles will play his first live performance since 2023, Olivia Dean, Sombr, Rosalía, Wolf Alice, Mark Ronson and many others will also perform. Noel Gallagher will also be there as he won the award for songwriter of the year. Maybe there will be another fight on the red carpet.
