The house of the French-Spanish designer Paco Rabanne in Brittany was the object of a robbery in the early hours of last Sundayjust one day after the death of the couturier, at the age of 88, in that same house located on the edge of the sea.

For now, the gendarmerie has failed to arrest the perpetrators of the robbery.

Paco Rabanne, born in the town of Pasajes, in the Spanish Basque Country, the son of a Republican soldier and a dressmaker who worked for Balenciaga, lived almost all his life in France, most of the time in Brittany, where the family took refuge after the firing squad of the patriarch.

The couturier, known for his metallic designs and his eccentric outbursts, passed away last Friday at the age of 88.
