Road littered with groceries because truck loses load

A truck that was on its way to Albert Heijn lost a large part of its load in Oostzaan this afternoon. As a result, the road is currently littered with all kinds of food and other items intended for the supermarket.

Cottage cheese, butter, milk and bananas. With a bit of luck, you can collect a whole shopping list on the Kolkweg in Oostzaan, near the A8/A10 ramp.

The truck probably left the nearby Albert Heijn distribution center in Zaandam with a full box. But around four o’clock several roll containers with refrigerated groceries rolled out of the truck onto the road. It is not clear how this could have happened.

Road closed

Due to the lost cargo, the road to Amsterdam is currently temporarily closed. Work is underway to get the road completely clean again. It is not yet clear how long the road will remain closed.
