The New Zealand clothing group KMD Brands Limited concretized the schedule for its leadership change announced last October on Wednesday. According to this, Brent Scrimshaw will become the new CEO and Managing Director of the group of companies on March 24, which includes the brands Kathmandu, Rip Curl and Oboz.
He succeeds Michael Daly, who will leave the company after more than twenty years. Daily will submit his seat to the Board of Directors on March 24, but will be at his side as part of a transition phase until April 4, the group said.
Scrimshaw has been part of the KMD Brands Board of Directors as a non-Executive Director since 2017. Most recently, he led the enero marketing agency as CEO. During his career, he had spent 18 years with the US sporting goods group Nike Inc. and held various management positions during this time. Among other things, he temporarily headed the Western European business there.
