Riots at FC Den Bosch – TOP Oss: two men arrested

The police have arrested two men for their role in the riots during the football match between FC Den Bosch and TOP Oss. The suspects are 37 years old and come from Den Bosch and Vlijmen.

During the duel on September 17, several fights broke out. The rioters also committed massive vandalism and directed their aggression towards police officers and stewards.

One of the flight attendants was assaulted and suffered a head injury. Two officers were slightly injured and the riot police was pelted with stones and torches.

Area Ban
Both men are suspected of open violence and De Vlijmenaar also of the assault of a police officer. The Public Prosecution Service imposed a reporting obligation and an area ban on both men. As a result, they are not allowed to come near the stadium during FC Den Bosch and TOP Oss matches.

Police say the investigation is still ongoing and more arrests are likely to follow.

Stadium ban
It was previously announced that supporters of TOP Oss who were arrested after the disturbances will receive a stadium ban. In addition, the derbies will be played without any away supporters for the next three years.

Part of the Bossche supporters were again involved in riots last Saturday. Then things went wrong in the duel with Willem II.
