Riots after FC Den Bosch-Top Oss: community service for rioters again

Eleven football supporters have been convicted for the riots after the FC Den Bosch – Top Oss match last September. The court in Den Bosch imposed 180 hours of community service on ten of them. Earlier this year, fans were also convicted.

A total of twelve suspects appeared before the police judge on Thursday and Friday. One man was completely acquitted.

Another man was acquitted of public violence, but was convicted of insulting police officers. He receives a fine of 300 euros.

The remaining ten men have been convicted for their part in the riots. They are between 22 and 52 years old and come from Den Bosch, Rosmalen, Schijndel, Vught, Vlijmen, Berghem, Oss and Uden. They all received community service ranging from 100 to 180 hours.

Not for the first time
According to the judge, the rioters threw stones and fireworks and waved belts. They also ‘made life difficult’ for the police.

It is not the first time that people have been convicted for the riots in September. At the beginning of this year, a number of fans were given stadium bans and community service orders. Fifteen football supporters (19 to 37) were then given community service orders of 80 to 200 hours.
