In addition to Dedeoğlu’s family and loved ones, club general treasurer Derviş Köz, Council Presidential Board Chairman Mahmut Ören, Council Presidential Board members and former club president Ahmet Celal Ataman attended the commemoration ceremony at Sülüklü Cemetery.
In his speech, Mahmut Ören, Chairman of the Council Presidency Board, stated that Rıfat Dedeoğlu left an indelible mark on the history of the club with his vision, unwavering loyalty to Trabzonspor and modest personality, and said, “We once again commemorate Rıfat Dedeoğlu, who passed away in 2004, with mercy, gratitude and respect for his unforgettable services to our Trabzonspor and Turkish sports.” he said.
At the end of the commemoration ceremony, flowers were left on Rıfat Dedeoğlu’s grave.
