It is an emotion. It is a trial.
Both aspects –judice and emotion- are always present in us, and generate specific actions.
In turn, actions generate judgments and such judgments will generate feelings of trust or distrust, which in turn will produce new actions. So, Trust and action feed on each other.
Trust leads to transformative, innovation, invention actions. If I have confidence, I dare to throw myself to the unknown. It is the fundamental element of the entrepreneurial spirit.
Trust is an option, a decision.
Start with an evaluation, with a trial.
Trust creates trust.
It is something we create, that we build, that we maintain and support with:
- Promises
- Commitments
- Emotions
- Sense of integrity.
It is the highest level of human motivation. Attracts the best of people. It takes time and patience.
Trust increases with:
- Courtesy acts.
- Honesty acts.
- Good acts.
- Commitment acts.
- Demonstrating understanding.
- Maintaining the commitments.
- Clarifying expectations.
- Demonstrating integrity.
- Genuinely apologizing when a mistake is made.
Trust is one of the most powerful and fundamental emotions in human experience. It is the pillar on which we build our relationships, make important decisions and project our hopes towards the future. Without it, life would be uncertain and full of doubts.
Born….
In personal relationships, trust is built through consistent and authentic actions. The honesty, the fulfillment of promises and the demonstration of genuine interest towards the other are the bricks that raise this emotional building. Each transparency act and every moment of support reinforces that trust
It is lost:
Although building trust can have been, losing it can be a matter of seconds. A betrayal, a lie or the lack of coherence between words and actions are sufficient to collapse what seemed unwavering.
Loss of trust not only affects the relationship itself, but also generates secondary emotions such as disappointment, resentment and fear of trusting again. Recovering it requires significant effort, which includes assuming responsibilities, showing tangible changes and giving time to the process.
In other words: getting credibility costs a lot, and no condition is as important as trust, that you can do pieces with a single back. Sometimes, even with a minimum detail.
In personal relationships …
Trust is the birth of any significant relationship, either in the personal, professional or social sphere. In a couple, for example, it allows both to feel safe to be vulnerable, share their dreams and face the challenges together. In a friendship, trust encourages unconditional support.
It is also essential for collaboration in teams and organizations. An environment where people trust each other allows innovation, the effective resolution of problems and the construction of an organizational culture.
When trust is solid, it creates a space where errors are learning opportunities and positive intentions prevail over doubts.
As a bridge to the future …
Looking to the future without trust is like trying to navigate without a compass. Trust allows us to believe in our abilities, in others and in the possibility of a better tomorrow.
In the personal sphere, it helps us to assume risks, to pursue goals and to face uncertainty with courage.
When we grow trust, we sow seeds of hope and resilience.
So…
Trust is a valuable resource, both in the present and in the future. As we said, building it requires time, commitment and authenticity, but its impact is lasting. It is a gift that we give and receive, An invisible bond that unites people.
Take care of confidence in our relationships and in ourselves It is, perhaps, one of the most significant acts that we can perform. Because when there is trust, there is connection, and where there is connection, there is possibility.
We leave for another article a topic of discussion: if confidence has been lost, can it be recovered?
