We are all victims of the algorithms, and even old warhorses like Aerosmith cannot break away from the laws of the market: there has been no new material from the band for ten years, but after a joint appearance with the British sympath with shirt phobia, Yungblud, at the MTV Video Music Awards, the time has finally come.

The video of the performance, a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne, had gone viral, despite the declining relevance of all the MTV Awards. Maybe it was the Gaga factor of this collaboration that somehow just made sense at the same time. And not just because both singers are known, among other things, for their extremely full lips. Anyone who has seen Yungblud even once can quickly guess that he has copied a lot from Steven Tyler, not least the rock star habit of course.

The viral performance turned into a single, then two more songs – and now an EP with four new, original songs and a new version of “Back in the Saddle”. And what can you say about it? Sure, the EP is primarily for fans of solid classic rock and everyone else is perhaps most likely to listen because of the absurdity factor. But: Yungblud and Tyler really harmonize wonderfully with each other and you can hear the joy of playing in every note of the trio Yungblud, Tyler and Joe Perry. Cheesy but charming.
