Just in time for the provisional hottest day of August, Maroon 5 with Love is Like is now eight eighth studio album. The length of just under 28 minutes is for a band that has not published anything since 2021 and has been one of the big players in the US pop, maybe a little bit, but with the Laissez-Faire-attache, which is inherent in the album, it fits perfectly between gang to the gelato counter, drink from the bar and a short cooling in the pool. We all want to quickly go to the dark again before you melty.

Love is Like is a small, delicious summer bump and surprisingly, despite almost penetrating Feelgood vibes. It slips and groovs very nicely, soul samples here, trumpets there, features there (e.g. Lil Wayne, Lisa von Blackpink) and if you don’t have to work in a mine, you imagine a small boat with its, of course, insanely good-looking and insanely slim friends towards Malibu in a, of course, of course, of course, of course, of course To disappear very expensive house.
Even if the sound is not one of the Grandezza, let’s say Harry Styles or the Future pop Justin Timberlakes, the Attitude of Maroon 5 is consistently facing the friendliness and Easy Living, tingles like a beautiful strawberry sect and should provide fun across generations. Especially in times when you are faced with bad messages and human abysses every day, an album like Love is like is a welcome antidote. I’m getting an ice cream now.
