Super producer Jack Antonoff and band present themselves as romantic outsiders between indie and heartland pop.

Jack Antonoff produces the biggest names and wins Grammy after Grammy, but he lives with the dream of playing the greatest music himself. Bleachers is the name of his project for implementation. The band attaches great importance to no longer being perceived as an Antonoff project, but as a group. This works very well live now, you can feel the energy of the six people on stage.

Things were sometimes different with the obviously excellently produced studio albums, which is why on EVERYONE FOR TEN MINUTES the Bleachers put a lot of emphasis on being heard as a close-knit bunch. Vocal voices double, instruments come in and disappear again, the piece “We Should Talk” negotiates life in a band. There the wedding dress has a stain, the band bus is full of gas for the tour – and there is this great longing: “You And Forever”. A few of the songs towards the end where Antonoff and band find different tones are noteworthy. “She’s From Before” brings Bob Dylan into the mix, “I’m Not Joking” the 60s soft pop of the Bee Gees, “Upstairs At Els” the form of 80s pop rock that unfortunately rarely plays on the radio because groups like Cock Robin or Glass Tiger have disappeared from the radar.
