Recommendations of the Editorial team

Metallica is primarily committed to social causes through its own charitable foundation “All Within My Hands” (AWMH) and has already donated well over 10 million US dollars. Founded in 2017, the non-profit organization focuses on supporting local communities the band visits on their tours.

When the band plays at Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt on Friday (May 22nd) and Sunday (May 24th), they want to support the Red Cross and are calling on their fans to donate blood during the European tour. Even if it is rarely discussed publicly, life-saving blood preparations are always in short supply, and there are greater shortages of some blood types than others.

As the “Frankfurter Rundschau” As the concerts go, there are also special Red Cross campaigns in the Hesse region, including in Hanau (Forum) or in Frankfurt-Bornheim (Saalbau). Donors receive an exclusive, limited edition Metallica T-shirt as a small thank you.

Fans help the Frankfurter Tafel

Some Metallica fans are supporting their favorite band’s call to do something good with their own campaign. Saturday (May 23rd) will be called “The Day Between” and will be accompanied by several missions to help. Between 9 and 11:30 a.m. Metallica fans help out at the Frankfurter Tafel. Afterwards there will be a photo shoot at 12 p.m. at the Justitia fountain under the title “Worldwide Metallica Family Photo at Römerberg”. From 2 p.m. there will be a fan event at ZOOM Frankfurt (Carl-Benz-Strasse 21), followed by a performance by the Metallica cover bands Mytallica and MainTallica.

During the “M72 World Tour” Metallica strictly adhere to the no-repeat principle. This also applies to Frankfurt. In concrete terms, this means that there are different set lists on both evenings. You can read HERE which song might be worthwhile for which evening. During their concerts, the musicians stand on a 360-degree stage right between their listeners. If you want to get really close, you have to pay for the Snake Pit – or hope for luck.
