After on-stage make-out sessions and marriage plans – Ikkimel and Ski Aggu created a lot of buzz with their relationship. The statement followed in June 2025: “We are now officially separated.” Now the rapper is talking about whether it was all just PR.
A real romance or pure PR?
It started with kisses on stage, then the two talked about an official relationship in interviews. During Ski Aggu’s American tour in spring 2025, which Ikkimel accompanied, they even planned to get married in Las Vegas. However, that never happened. In Klaas Heufer-Umlauf’s television show “Expert for Everything” they announced in July 2025 that they were officially separated from now on and wanted to be left alone on the subject. Right from the start, fans speculated whether the relationship was nothing more than a pure PR stunt – more of a relationship between two fictional characters than a real romance.
Ikkimel’s new era as a pop(p)star
She doesn’t want expressions of pity about her separation: “I’m always a big fan of congratulating people after separations.” A separation is the decision to move on with your life and become happier in another way. In the interview, Ikkimel also admits to being a “pop star” – the title of her new album, which was released on May 15th: her new star attitude is not just a rebrand, but the beginning of a new era. “I keep reinventing myself.” A lot of change, especially for the rapper from Berlin.
The pop(p)star era is also reflected in Ikkimel’s concert calendar: she is playing a total of 16 stages this festival summer, one of which is her open-air “Ikkimel & Friends” in the IFA summer garden. The tour for their new album continues in autumn. The Poppstar tour starts on November 11th in Ludwigsburg.
