Costs
The first phase costs 3.5 million euros, of which 2 million euros is financed by the Immovable Heritage Agency. The non-profit organization Domein De Lovie, which owns the buildings, pays the remaining part. The complete restoration is estimated at 12.6 million euros.
General manager Patrick Deferme: “By investing in the castle, we are not only strengthening the building, but also our role in the region. For many people, De Lovie vzw and the castle are inextricably linked. At the same time, the castle offers enormous opportunities for the people we support. They can work in a lively environment where meeting and small moments of contact make a world of difference.”
