The new tenant of the building is Maurice Jansen (49) from Barger-Oosterveld, who has been working in Southeast Drenthe since 2008 as a catering trader. The grand café with restaurant in the former post office will be his fourth catering company. He previously opened the Good Fella’s steakhouse in Barger-Oosterveld and the Irish restaurant Flanagan’s in Weerdinge. In 2020, restaurant The Dinner Club was added in the former building of the Markant catering business on the Marktplein in Emmen.
