Respect and tranquility: magic words for HCAW coach Danny Rombley

Head coach Danny Rombley is in his first season with HCAW. After fifteen matches, the baseball players are undefeated and are the leaders in the Dutch big league. “A super season. We haven’t lost anything yet so can’t think of anything else,” says a radiant Rombley.

His players especially praise the tranquility that Rombley radiates. “He says the right things at the right time,” said pitcher Lars Huijer.

“If you treat people with respect, you get that in return. As a player I wasn’t the calmest. In the later years I became calmer. Then I thought shit. If you stay calm you can achieve more,” said Rombley.

Holland Series

The last time HCAW won the Holland Series was in 1998. Last year, the Bussum-squad just failed to qualify for the Holland Series. This year they are convinced that they will succeed.

On Sunday, HCAW recorded a resounding 15-0 win over RCH. NH Sport makes the above report.
