According to a report in the French newspaper “Le Figaro”, the final tournament of the Nations League will be held in Germany or Italy. The European Football Union UEFA has already made a corresponding determination that the winner of the quarter-final game of both nations should be the host. The UEFA Executive Committee will not officially make the decision until next Monday.
Germany will face Italy in the round of the last eight on March 20th and 23rd. “Le Figaro” reported that France was not awarded the final tournament because of Germany and Italy. The French will face Croatia in the quarterfinals.
The Nations League finals will take place from June 4th to 8th. Should the DFB win the contract upon reaching the semi-finals, Munich and Stuttgart are considered promising candidates for hosting the games. Germany has never reached the final tournament in the previous three editions of the competition.
