Nice that it worked!
Rapidly growing clubs inevitably have a high fluctuation, which then also affects sporting performance. Frankfurt has experienced this over the past few years and the latest example is probably VfB Stuttgart. To survive these “valley soles” or lose half the squad + successful trainer is great art. As for Stuttgart, the cup victory and the associated qualification for EL will help to keep the bloodletting within limits.
Frankfurt is of course a few years ahead of VfB (or a few top sales). Here you do not necessarily try to keep the top players (see Marmoush) but rather to expand the foundation of above-average good Bundesliga players.
Players like Koch, Kristensen, Skhiri, Götze or Trapp have a stabilizing effect in this regard that should not be underestimated.
In general, I am very excited to see how it will continue with Frankfurt and Stattgart. Over the years there have been clubs that have played in the TOP 7 or even Top 4, but there were/are simply differences with regard to the long -term potential.
Stuttgart and Frankfurt both are very strong, have large stadiums with high occupancy and also have significantly more to offer when it comes to regional economic strength than, for example, Gladbach, Mainz or Freiburg.
