Report: Lecce working on Umtiti loan – also Wolfsburg’s Pongracic issue

Newcomers with injury worries

A potential buyer has emerged for Samuel Umtiti (28). As the Editing by Gianluca Di Marzio reported, the Italian first division promoted US Lecce is on the FC Barcelona defender. Accordingly, the Apulians are out to get the Frenchman on loan. In addition, Marin Pongracic (24) from VfL Wolfsburg should also be an issue at Lecce.

The Giallorossi are currently struggling with injury concerns in the center of defense and will have to do without Alessandro Tuia (32) and Kastriot Dermaku (30) for the time being, which is why only two regular central defenders are available in Mert Cetin (25) and talented Mattia Ciucci (19). Because the defender is taking legal action against his club because of allegedly outstanding premium payments, he is currently not allowed to play. “Marin will only have the opportunity to play football here if he drops the lawsuit,” said coach Niko Kovac recently. Pongracic, who is quiet in the TM rumor mill except for Lecce, would be one of the most valuable professionals in the squad for the Italians with a market value of 6 million euros.
