Tim Hofman has caused disgust at René van der Gijp with his speech at the Gouden Televizier-Ring Gala. “The narcissism is really dripping off his leather jacket. So smug!”
34-year-old Tim Hofman picked up no fewer than two prizes at the Televizier gala last Thursday evening, including one for the impact of his BOOS program. During his speech, the presenter proudly said that even politicians and their press officers are now shuddering at him.
Dislike Tim
Tim started his speech of thanks with an anecdote about the spokesman for minister Sigrid Kaag. “We were BOOS at the Council of Ministers last June and then Kaag’s spokesperson came to us with such eyes: ‘Are you coming for Kaag?’ Then we said ‘no’ and then he said, ‘Pfoeeeh!’”
Not to be seen, according to René van der Gijp. “I have to tell you very honestly, Wilfred: I don’t hate anyone easily, do I? I often think: oh, you know, that one doesn’t hurt anyone either. But there is one person who I think is such a terrible l*l… The narcissism really drips from his leather jacket. That self-righteousness of his!”
Irritation
Pak De Macht, Tim’s ratings flop, is the ultimate portion of ‘irritainment’ for René. “I watch his program on NPO 3 to annoy me. I’m the only one. Then he stands there with a air like he fucking invented it, you know. That’s his voice… Oh man, that counts for him, that knows no limits.”
He continues: “However he started at that gala yesterday [over Kaag], that also typifies that man. Self-righteousness, huh, this boy?”
Johan agrees
Colleague Johan Derksen fully agrees with René. “I could not have expressed René’s opinion better. I totally agree. I think it’s such a very self-righteous jerk. He also believes that he deserved this award. I just think it’s a sick jellyfish.”
Wilfred Genee: “There is no self-relativity anymore? Does he take everything too seriously? No humor, no self-mockery, nothing?”
