15.05.2025 – 4:55 p.m.Reading time: 2 min.

Fate game for Eintracht Braunschweig: BTSV has to tremble before the last matchday for the whereabouts in the 2nd Bundesliga. How does the relegation succeed?
Hope and fear until the last second: The nerve costume by Eintracht Braunschweig is once again tough. Before the last matchday of the season in the 2nd Bundesliga, the BTSV is under pressure. Even a victory in the home game against 1. FC Nürnberg on Sunday (kick -off 3:30 p.m.) could mean the relegation.
Because with the violent 0: 3 defeat at SV Elversberg and the previous victory of competitor Prussia Münster against Hertha BSC (2-0), Eintracht slipped to table 16 on the last match day. There you rank tied with the table 15. from Münster, however, comes up with a goal difference of 20 hits. Greuther Fürth (table-14. With one point more) is still in striking distance.
Either way, Braunschweig is dependent on shooting aid. Even a separate victory against the 1st FC Nürnberg could mean the relegation – namely, even if Fürth (at home against leaders against Hamburger SV) and Münster (away from the table penultimate SSV Ulm).
The direct non -relegation is, however, if the Eintracht prevails against Nuremberg and one of the two competitors wins. Then the BTSV table position 16 would leave just in time.
The team of coach Daniel Schering could also be a tie against Nuremberg for relegation. In this case, Münster would have to lose the duel with Ulm. Fürth would not be passed by a draw due to the eight goals worse goal difference in any realistic scenario.
Should it not be enough for direct relegation, the BTSV would have to get in the relegation. The direct descent is six points ahead of the table-17. Ulm no longer possible. In the relegation, on May 23rd and 27th, the third in the table of the 3rd division. In the raffle of the possible opponents, Energie Cottbus (3rd place, 62 points), the 1. FC Saarbrücken (4th, 62 points) and Hansa Rostock (5th, 60 points) are before the last match day.
