Reino and Maria Nordin were visited by Sami Kuronen On the eveningin the podcast, where they discussed their marriage and the challenges that hit it.
The couple’s first joint child was born in 2010 and changed their lives considerably.
“Maybe Reino had a bit of the fact that it was not ready to ripen to a parent at that point, and that it would have been so that the substance abuse problem escalated at that point,” Maria recalls.
According to Reino, the pressures of career and life grew from all directions at that point, which in turn aggravated his substance abuse problem. At the same time, he was constantly working and describes himself as “Functional Alcoholic”.
According to Reino, his biggest problem stemmed from his own ambition. He says he wanted to achieve “something great”.

Reino says that afterwards he has understood that any role he would have received would not necessarily lead to success.
The most difficult moments of the duo were related to Reino’s substance abuse problems and cheating and the uproar over Mary.
“However, I was a generally accepted person, but everyone hate my wife, so it was a big crisis too,” Reino describes.
He feels that the outside world has been pushing the “big wedge” between him and Mary. On the other hand, he wonders that marriage crises have not ultimately been tombstone.
– If the artist hasn’t had a little coke in the nose sometimes, is it even an artist at all? He jokes.
