On Sunday evening around 6 p.m., a regional train on the route between Cottbus and Nauen stopped due to a technical defect between FEZ and Wuhlheide station.

According to initial information from train passengers, they had to wait an hour on the train without air conditioning. The reason for the technical defect was a fault in the brakes. Because the electricity had to be cut off, there was no electricity for the air conditioning either

The passengers then opened the doors themselves to get some fresh air. They were able to get off the train around 7 p.m. The nearest tram stop is about a kilometer away, said a police spokesman.
