The German road bike champion Maximilian Schachmann has to postpone the start of the season due to a corona infection. This was announced by his racing team Bora-hansgrohe.
A rapid test was positive for the Berliner at the training camp in Mallorca at the weekend, and a PCR test then confirmed the result. According to the racing team, Schachmann is doing well, as is his teammate Giovanni Aleotti, who also tested positive.
However, the planned start of the Mallorca Challenge races from Thursday to Sunday this week had to be cancelled.
