On Tuesday, a Red Bull summit took place in Dubai, in which the Thai major shareholder Chalerme Yoovidhya and representatives from the engine supplier Honda are said to have taken part. Honda is said to have worked significantly at the deal, the Japanese group is a sponsor and long -time sponsor of Tsunoda and thus also financially interesting for Red Bull – according to information from “De Limburg”.
Because as the sheet reports, Honda could pay the Formula 1 team a million sum if the Japanese gets the place. At the moment, ten million euros a year is expected to flow to Tsunoda the seat at the Racing Bulls. In addition, a few months ago, the engine manufacturer already offered another ten million euros to enable Tsunoda to climb the Red Bull cockpit that was still vacant at the time. Now “de Limburger” speculates that Red Bull could have followed Honda to listen to how much the Japanese would be willing to pay Tsunoda in the Red Bull Racing car.
