Spain’s Real Madrid Club announced that the contract of Uruguayan midfielder Federico Valverde has been extended until 2029.

In the statement made by the club, it was reported that 25-year-old Valverde’s contract was extended until June 30, 2029, by mutual agreement.

Valverde, who has been playing for Real Madrid since July 2016, scored 19 goals in 220 matches and won 9 trophies with the purple-whites.

Real Madrid, which has renewed the contracts of its players consecutively for the last two weeks, decided to continue with Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo Goes and Eduardo Camavinga.

The Spanish press claimed that Valverde’s unilateral release clause would be 1 billion euros, like the other three football players.
