Premier League beckons again

Eintracht Frankfurt generated 149.5 million euros in the 2023/24 season – including January – in transfer fees for Randal Kolo Muani and Co. To date, this is the Hessians’ revenue record in a football year. But this could apparently fall this summer. After sports director Markus Krösche announced “movement” in the squad as part of the introduction of returning coach Adi Hütter, the Frankfurt rumor mill is also noticeably picking up speed. “Bild” brought three sales candidates to England into play on Sunday – namely: defender Arthur Theate (26), midfield talent Hugo Larsson (21) and winger Jean-Mattéo Bahoya (21). Together they should bring in around 100 million euros, and the very sought-after Nathaniel Brown (22) or Can Uzun (20) haven’t even been discussed yet.
From the Premier League, Eintracht had earned 220 million euros over the past seven years only from the transfers of Sébastien Haller (to West Ham in 2019 for 50 million), Omar Marmoush (to Man City in January 2025 for 75 million) and Hugo Ekitiké (to Liverpool in 2025 for 95 million). According to “Bild”, Bahoya, who is contractually bound until 2029, is currently the focus of the almost relegated Tottenham Hotspur, who have themselves initiated a change.

He should bring in up to 40 million euros, just like market value loser Larsson (contract until 2029). There are currently no concrete rumors about the Swede, who has to watch the World Cup. Theate (contract until 2029) has meanwhile attracted interest from Nottingham Forest and AFC Bournemouth, where Marco Rose is now coach. It could bring in 15 million to 20 million euros.
“I spoke to Adi very transparently about the current situation. This also includes the fact that we as a club have to generate transfer revenue. That’s part of our path. We’ll have to see what exactly that will look like,” Krösche said recently. The “Kicker” meanwhile reported that a transfer surplus of 50 million euros would have to be achieved. In addition to candidates for departure such as Noel Futkeu (23), whose buyback option was last activated but who is not expected to stay, Elye Wahi (23), Junior Dina Ebimbe (25), Farès Chaïbi (23), Ellyes Skhiri (31) and national player Nnamdi Collins (22) are also up for sale.

Eintracht Frankfurt will have the biggest income for Brown & Uzun
Brown is probably not one of the obvious players to trade away. The World Cup participant agrees with FC Bayern Munich. Frankfurt is said to be considering a transfer fee of 60 million euros for the left-back. It remains to be seen whether that is too much for the record champions. According to Sky, Krösche has the same amount in mind at Uzun. The broadcaster reports that Turkish record champions Galatasaray are specifically interested in the offensive player. According to transfer reporter Yağız Sabuncuoğlu The Lions are currently “only” prepared to put 40 million euros on the table. Either way, with such a sum he would become the most expensive Turkish professional in football history. Like Brown, Uzun also has the chance to further increase his market value at the World Cup.
