In the first match of the UEFA Europa League Round of 16, Frankfurt faced Real Betis away. Frankfurt won the match 2-1 at Estadio Benito Villamarın.
While Filip Kostic in the 14th minute and Daichi Kamada in the 32nd minute scored the winning goals for the German team, Real Betis’ only goal came from Nebil Fekir in the 30th minute. Frankfurt’s Rafael Borre failed to take advantage of the penalty kick in the 52nd minute.
The rematch of the match will be played on Thursday, March 17 in Germany.
