A little history
–
In Dublin everything is almost ready for the official start of what is universally recognized as the oldest tournament organized within European borders. The first edition of Irish Open dates back to 1980 even if at that time there were no flop, turn and river. The idea of importing what he had seen in America came to Terry Rogers. What we could call “European debut”, however, took place in Five Card mode Stud mode. At the time the most practiced poker variant in the old continent but shortly thereafter, finally, he was also able to play Texas Holdem with a nice ‘little experts who arrived from Overseas. Within a few years, that of Dublin became an absolute point of reference for the various players and things, over time, have not changed. The Main Event Buyin is 1,150 euros And after Pandemia every year there is a record of participants. Easy to hypothesize that the trend does not change in this 2025 edition that will have a guaranteed prize pool of 2.5 million euros
Irish Open 2025: the streaming program
–
The last time we celebrated State’s victory in the Main Event of the PokerStars Open of Campione d’Italia. The large poker cameras, however, are ready to rekindle to transmit the live streaming of the Irish Open 2025. Attention to the ‘slipping’ since it will end in a working day. It will start from Day 2 on Saturday 19 April with the classic appointment after lunch. On Sunday 20, always from 13:30, our Italian commentators will keep you company with the Day3 while the grand finale is scheduled for Monday with live streaming set for 14:30. For fans of the variants there are many events scheduled: on 11 April there is the Mixed 8-Game Championship from 350 euros of registration. Certainly there is no Omaha that also includes a truly “crunchy” High Roller Mystery Bounty but we will also have a nice deuce to 7 triple draw on Monday 14 April. Also to underline the presence of a variant that in recent years has decidedly set foot: let’s talk about the big or, also known as 5 Plo card. It is the dear and old Omaha but with one more card and with the obligation to make “pot” or to aim the equivalent of the dish. There is really everything in this edition of Irish Open
