RB Leipzig is facing its first signing of the new year. As the “LVZ” reports, the French talent Tidiam Gomis will move from SM Caen to the Bundesliga club. The trend is for the 18-year-old to join RB in the summer when he is free of charge. But a change in the current transfer period cannot be ruled out.

“Sky” first reported that the Red Bulls were in on the left winger. AC Milan and Aston Villa were also mentioned as interested parties. According to the TV station, nothing has been signed yet. Bayer Leverkusen have also been linked to the offensive player in the last three transfer periods. If RB wanted to bring in Gomis this winter, a transfer fee would be due. The U19 international’s current market value is 3 million euros and is one of the highest in Caen’s squad.
Gomis has been training with the second division club since 2019 and has been a professional since 2023. Despite his young age, he has already made 36 appearances, scoring four goals and two assists. However, he has never played in a first league. If Gomis goes to RB, he would add to the long list of French players. Dayot Upamecano started in 2017, a total of eight wore or are wearing the jersey. Two of them, El Chadaille Bitshiabu and Castello Lukeba, are currently under contract with Leipzig.
