Rayan Cherki is one of the top performers at Olympique Lyon. The midfielder is being courted by top clubs – and could leave the club in the summer.
Midfielder Rayan Cherki has a contract with Olympique Lyon until 2026. However, according to pay TV broadcaster Sky, the 21-year-old is said to have made a secret verbal agreement with the French club during his last contract extension. This would therefore allow him to leave the club in the summer for around 22 million euros.
According to the TV station, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and FC Bayern are interested in the midfielder and are monitoring his situation. So far this season, Cherki has scored five goals and eight assists in 22 games.
According to the report, Cherki does not have an official exit clause. However, the oral agreement is apparently intended to apply as such. According to “transfermarkt.de”, the Frenchman’s market value is 30 million euros.
