The second season of “Rap La Rue” is now coming to an end. The mission of the hip-hop casting show is, as you say, “to offer, discover, hear and promote a platform”. The format was launched by Rapper and Steamer Sami and is mainly On YouTube broadcast. Of the initially 100 participants: there are now only seven left over the inside, which will prove themselves against each other on July 18 in the final in Frankfurt.

Azu
“Rap La Rue” is not an initial hip-hop competition. In 2023 he already took part in the fifth season of “Icon” and even took second place. He often raps on dark beats about problems on the street. On his current song “Plug”, Azu apparently tells of his family: “Aunt makes food for whole family / dad no longer sits at the table / Kuzi makes big, my mother on wine / my eyes too red, don’t look her in your face”.
Elly
Rapper Elly is called Eleonora Vardanian with a bourgeois name and comes from Vienna. With her song “Elly From The Block”, the 26-year-old delivered an earwig with the hit by Jennifer Lopez. However, it became particularly personal on the track “Ellen”. There she is aimed at her younger self and confronts herself with fears and self -doubt. So she sings: “Little Miniature-Ely, eyes like Bambi / But fears much bigger, which the cold attracts / would I prefer to be blond, thin, rich, 90-60-90-body / thoughts that have been playing with me for years.”
In an interview with the “Kronen-Zeitung”, she also told that music has been playing a role in her life for a long time: “I started in the children’s choir, was then in the music school and then came across various competitions.” In 2016, the Viennese even took part in the Austrian ESC preliminary decision and made it to the final.
Cave110
The talent from Cologne released its first rap videos on Instagram in 2020. In 2023, Cave110 published the song “Pure Joints”, which gave him initial attention before “Rap La Rue”. In the meantime, the track on Spotify has been streamed over two million times. The rapper now also competes in the final with the song “Do not so”.
Erda
Artist Erda has been known to some for some. In 2023 she competed at “The Voice Rap by Cupra” and jury member Kool Savas said about her at the time: “You look overnight, you have a blatant voice, blatant performance, you don’t need to do much. The diamond is almost done.” Some of Erda’s RLR songs also went viral on Tikok. One of the most popular and probably also emotional tracks is “Papa” in which she tells of a complicated relationship with her father. Among other things, the 21-year-old sings: “The only thing I think of you today is just your last name.”
The Yavuz
The Kerpener rapper of the Yavuz had good contacts in the German-language hip-hop scene before “Rap La Rue”. His older songs were published by KC Rebell’s Rebell Army label. Yavuz will also accompany the rapper on his tour in 2026.
Finessim
Not much is known about RLR talent Finessim. Even his face is always half covered. He also published a number of songs before he participated in the show. On one of the newer singles, “oldest son”, he seems to let the music speak for himself and raps from his family, financial problems and experiences on the street.
Juu
For Juu it is currently the second time at “Rap La Rue”, because he was already part of the first season and was able to show his talent in some rounds. Now the rapper from Frankfurt-Sossenheim has made it to the final. In his music, summer beats are often associated with rather sad lyrics. On his song “95” it says: “Malad is in the stars and Zayd is in Arrest / tobacco remains in the Chevrolet, Mama hears the plea.”
The audience also decides who of these seven talents prevailed: an online voting accompanies the final and gives the fans the opportunity to determine the final ranking of their favorites.
