“Nina Chuba” instead of “Hollywood”: The famous characters on the Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles simply renamed the singer; The assembly with its name adorns her stage on a large screen. “Apocalypse Now” helicopter in the sunset comes over the canvases, but not Wagner sounds over the boxes, but at least a variation of Strauss’ “So spoke Zarathustra”. It is a stirring performance-“I hate you” or “rage girl” (in which Chuba asks the “rage girl” to take your hand off the wheel) are empowerment hymns for younger people without promising false ideals. On the B-Stage in the round, rather an increased podium, she plays a new jazz song, “because there are also a few older people here”, as she jokingly says. But it is not difficult for adults to like songs such as “color blind” or “10 seconds of eye contact”. Nina Chuba can also be ironic, talk like the old ones: “Now cool beats come, ne”.
After her “jazz performance”, Nina Chuba fights back through the crowd to the main stage, accompanied by her security. “I just have to go through here,” she says – the band is waiting at the top. And without Nina Chuba it doesn’t work.
