Rammstein lawyers Schertz Bergmann remove warning letters from their homepage

With its announcement that it would take legal action for its clients Rammstein, the law firm Schertz Bergmann caused quite a stir last Friday (June 9th): They wanted to take action against the media “to the extent that the principles of reporting suspicions were violated” – Rammstein singer Till Lindemann is accused of abusive behavior by several women. The “taz”, for example, reported that a letter had already fluttered in at the editorial office. Now the announcement has disappeared from the law firm’s homepage, as the German Journalists Association writes.

That was unusual for Schertz Bergmann, as the DJV further noted. DJV chairman Frank Überall had previously stated: “The threat of legal action against journalists is an attempt to muzzle the media. The allegations against the frontman of one of the most well-known German bands are so serious that they have to be researched and reported.”
