Jykevä defender of Laval Rocket Tobie Paquette Bisson stopped last night by Brad Lambert I go near the blue line with a solid tackle.

The Finnish forward of the Manitoba Moose was left lying on the ice after the pin and holding his head. The tackle was hard but clean. Colorado’s player scouting leader in Europe Joni Lehto comment on the situation in message service X like this:

– You’ll learn from this. If not, you will often sit in a “dark” room, Lehto wrote.

By dark room, Lehto refers to the concussion protocol, which is performed in a dark room after hard head hits.

Lambert eventually got off the ice himself, but left in the suit shelter. Laval won 4–1.

Lambert has been the top scorer and point man for the Manitoba Moose this season. He has scored 12+13=15 in 29 matches. A convincing start to the season also earned him a spot in the AHL all-star game, but that is at stake due to a possible injury.

Two other Finns were also selected for the AHL all-star game: Wilkes-Barre/Scranton goalkeeper Joel Blomqvist and forward for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms Samu Tuomaala.

The AHL star weekend will be held in San Jose from February 4th to February 5th.
