In the summer of 2023, the 1st FC Kaiserslautern landed a real hit on the transfer market with the commitment of Ragnar Ache. At that time, the FCK paid about one million euros to Eintracht Frankfurt. In the meantime, the center forward is worth a significantly higher transfer fee. Now the converted 26-year-old gave an insight into his future planning.
At the end of the season, the 1st FC Kaiserslautern threatened a departure from Ragnar Ache. The striker was already in winter to Como 1907 in winter. A transfer burst on the home stretch. Ache is still contractually bound by Lautern by 2026. An extension is probably only an option if the red devils rise to the Bundesliga.
The center forward had already left his future on Betzenberg in February. In the “Sky” show “My Story”, the native of Frankfurt now revealed what wishes he has for his future. “I always say my goal at the end of the day is the Premier League. I want to come to the Premier League at some point,” said the former Fürther.
1. FC Kaiserslautern: Ragnar Ache reveals “Big Dream”
“At the moment I don’t know what the way this is about what is best for me. In the future, I will see that in the future, whether it is going directly to the Premier League, or about the Bundesliga, about series A or about the championship, I can’t say that at the moment,” said the beefy center forward at the Pay TV station.
But not only a change to the island is the attacker’s dream. The Lautern Torjäger also wants a return to the SGE that gave him the Palatinate in 2023: “I enjoyed the time at Eintracht Frankfurt too little. It is a big dream to return to Eintracht Frankfurt.”
Ache had signed the Hesse in 2020 for around two million euros from Sparta Rotterdam. However, he could not prevail in his hometown. At Greuther Fürth and the 1st FC Kaiserslautern, the 26-year-old developed into one of the best attackers in the 2nd Bundesliga. Despite injury problems, he already scored 16 goals this season.
