Florian Lipowitz did not play a role in the fight for the victory of the 14th edition of the Grand Prix from Québec. The German bike star and third of this year’s Tour de France could not set an accents in the race over 216 kilometers.
The victory secured Julian Alaphilippe on a twelve -kilometer circuit that had to be completed 18 times. The Frenchman set himself decisively at the climb around one and a half kilometers before the finish and celebrated his 45th professional victory.
World champion Tadej Pogacar attacked in the final phase of the race, but did not make you very serious and did not come into the top ten. For the Slovenes it was the first race after his fourth Tour de France victory at the end of July.
The Montreal Grand Prix is scheduled for Sunday.
