“There are about forty or fifty men on bicycles who will go in rounds trying to challenge each other,” says volunteer and co-organizer Bart de Wilde of the Regenboog Groep.
Overwhelming support
Just over a year ago, the Streetwise Cycle Team also made the news. After a call from NH Helpt, they received: donated about twenty racing bikes.
“We started with zero bicycles, and now we have seventy. And all in good condition, so yes, that’s just fantastic,” says bicycle race creator Peter. “People from all over the Netherlands donate old bicycles, helmets, cycling clothing, shoes and glasses.”
