Saving the Queen Anne and the Queen Bees, the nicknames of the two blast furnaces of British Steel in Scunthorpe, is a race against the clock. Jingye, the Chinese owner of British Steel, appears to have resold the crucial raw materials for the ovens, coke and iron ore. With this ‘sabotage’, Jingye wanted to enforce the closure of the blast furnaces, which, according to Jingye, loses more than 700,000 British pounds (€ 800,000) per day.
