A 40-year-old man will be tried next Wednesday morning during a super-fast court hearing for throwing fireworks at law enforcement officers during New Year’s Eve in Eindhoven. The enforcers of the municipality of Eindhoven got fireworks in their faces.

The man will stand trial next week before the police judge of the East Brabant court. His indictment also states that he allegedly refused to cooperate with an alcohol test.

For the time being, this is the only super-fast court hearing that the Public Prosecution Service has arranged for the court in Den Bosch after New Year’s Eve.

What is super-fast justice?
With super-fast justice, suspects can be tried three to six days after their arrest. This usually concerns issues such as open violence, vandalism, arson and violence against people with a public position.
