Norwegian Queen Sonja, 87, has been taken to the hospital on Monday night because of dyspnoea, Norwegian magazine Vg reported. Sonja was flown to Oslo University Hospital from Sikkilsdalen, where the royal couple was spending an Easter holiday.
The King’s Room confirms in the news release. It does not publish more information about the queen’s well -being before Tuesday.
Even before Easter, Sonja met Iceland’s President Halla Tómasdóttir, who was on a state visit to Norway. After the meeting, the royal couple traveled to Sikkilsdalen, where a private holiday home for the royal family is located.
The Queen underwent a surgery in January, where she was placed a pacemaker. This happened after he had suffered from atrial fibrillation on a ski trip to Lillehammer.
