Puma and Coperni launch a joint shoe

The Herzogenaurach-based sportswear retailer Puma has teamed up with the French brand Coperni to bring a new shoe onto the market that has never existed before. In contrast to the usual collaborations, in which the fashion partners reinterpret an existing model from the shoe provider, a new silhouette was worked on, Puma announced. These were presented in the three colors yellow, black and white.

“Coperni is a visionary, futuristic partner,” said Heiko Desens, Global Creative Director at Puma. “We want to bring innovation and technology to the fashion industry, and I find that really exciting,” said Heiko Desens, Global Creative Director at Puma.

Coperni’s “modern and fresh take on fashion and technology” meets Puma’s background in the world of sports. This resulted in a casual shoe that was developed to the specifications of a performance soccer shoe.

“It is a great honor to work with Puma for our first sportswear collaboration,” said Coperni founders Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant. “It is every designer’s dream to work on a sneaker and we are very grateful to Puma for opening the doors of their innovation department to us.”

The collaboration is scheduled to release in January 2024.
